Todd R. Stauffer – <em>Director of Alarm Management Services</em>, exida</p>
<p>Todd is responsible for marketing and business development of exida’s alarm management products and services (training, consulting, engineering tools). He is an editor and voting member of the ISA-18 standards committee on alarm management.</p>
<p>He previously worked for Siemens Energy &amp; Automation where he held Product Management responsibility for APACS and PCS 7, as well as led key activities around alarm management and control system security.</p>
<p>Recent publications include: <em>“Don’t be Alarmed: Avoid Unplanned Downtime from Alarm Overload”,</em> <em>“Safety &amp; Security: Can You Have the Best of Both Worlds”</em>, and <em>“DCS or PLC? Seven Questions to Help You Select the Best Solution”</em>.</p>
<p>A graduate of Penn State University, Todd holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and earned a Master&#8217;s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Todd is currently a registered professional engineer in the State of Pennsylvania and is a member of ISA and IEEE.</p>
