Dr. William L. Weaver, Ph.D. — Associate Professor, School of Arts & Sciences, Integrated Science, Business and Technology (ISBT)
Bill joined the ISBT faculty with six years of industrial experience as an analytical chemist. He was involved in the design and development of data-acquisition and -analysis methods for emerging optical diagnostics. This included nascent techniques of pattern-recognition, fuzzy neural networks, and expert systems adapted for utilization in the interpretation of multi-dimensional data. He has authored 64 publications and presentations on the development and application of optical-diagnostic techniques and holds a patent on the optical measurement of dissolved oxygen in aviation fuel systems.
