Only a few tour spots remain

Hosted by the Longwood Gardens Electrical Department, the tour will begin at 5 PM, starting and ending at the Acer Conference Room located in the Horticulture Building. Parking the Upper Employee Parking Lot.The tour will begin with a short Powerpoint presentation explaining Longwood’s Power systems, control systems and a look at how some displays and events are installed.Next, discussion will cover some upcoming projects at Longwood such as the new Meadow expansion and the complete rebuild of the Historic Main Fountain Garden.After a short question and answer period, the section will split into three groups of ten and tour the Estate Greenhouses, East Conservatory, Main Conservatory, Ballroom and Green wall areas on the main level. Groups will then tour the power, control and utility spaces in the tunnels below.

Attire: Dress is casual (jeans are fine) but please wear leather shoes (close toe, no high heels) and bring a hard hat and safety glasses if possible.

Location: Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA. Enter via business gate on Conservatory Road. The guard at the gate will direct you to the “Acer” room in the Horticulture building.
